1st Five for Friday!!!!!!!!

I've never done a Five for Friday, so in my attempt in making up for my neglectful-ness I'm going to give it a whirl! You can  link up withDoodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday! :)

I wore a unicorn necklace today. Judge me...go for...I think it's awesome and I can get away with it, because of my job! Just another perk! :)

We wrote on the table with dry-erase markers to practice our spelling words and finding vcv words. My students thought this was pretty awesome! It was the first time I had done it with them! :)

One of my third grade students is making major improvements! He's done an awesome job with reading and answering questions! And I mean AWESOME! I'm pretty proud of him! He even told me he would work with me again next year! Hey- I'll take that compliment!

I've only gone to kettlebells 3 times this week. It's killing me, because I'll admit it....I ate horribly this past weekend and need to get back on track!

I've been writing and revising IEPs this past week. It can be a struggle in deciding what services to give and to take away, it's a tough judgement call for some of my students. I don't want to take away services that are helping them be successful. Anyways, my annual review meetings begin next week! Fun fun! Any tips are welcome! :)

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. My students LOVE writing on their desks with dry erase markers. We do it so often they all brought mismatched socks to school to use for erasers. I guess it never gets old no matter how old you get.

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I love your unicorn necklace--at a job I had in college my nickname was "upset unicorn" lol. I love the writing on the table idea! Definitely an easy way to spice up spelling!

  3. It's nice to be able to get away with wearing some of the fun things we do as teachers! That is a great idea to use dry erase! I will have to try that! Good luck with all of your meetings Melissa!
